Character Interview – Alexandria Polecheck

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. I was an only child. My father worked in the shipyard and my mother worked various part-time jobs. I never left because I married my high school sweetheart and we thought our hometown would be a great place to raise a family, but we never got that far, Sam was murdered.

What do you do for a living?

I’m a cost accountant for a world-wide known boat lift company called Boat Lift, Inc. It’s kind of a boring job but it pays the bills.

What’s the most tragic thing that’s ever happened to you?

The murder of my husband, Sam, is the most tragic thing I’ve ever had to deal with. With as hard as his murder was on me, it was absolutely devastating to his best friend and fellow police officer, Peter. It broke my heart to watch him grieve. It was especially difficult for Peter because not only did he have to push his grieving aside in order to stay focused on catching Sam’s killer, he also felt the need to keep a close eye on me as I appeared to be next on the killer’s list.

Do you have a secret?

I didn’t for most of my life but I certainly do now, and it’s nearly killing me to keep it. I have a feeling it will be revealed soon. Thank goodness!

How do you deal with disappointments or stress in life?

I hangout with my two besties. We’ve been friends for a long time. Sometimes we drink a bit too much wine thoughJ
